Before implementing navigation in the Vekkit mobile apps we tested all the best navigation APIs available: MapBox, Google, Here… and we chose OpenRouteService as it proved to make the most effective and comfortable bicycle routes. Sometimes while testing we even discovered new bicycle roads we didn't know about in the city we live in.

So after a lot of tests the Navigation option appeared first in out iOS app and now finally in the Android app. Just touch and hold a place on the map and you will see a cycling-specific route from your location to that place. Press the Navigate icon and follow the route with (or without) the voice commands.

We are constantly working on new and existing features and in the future app updates we will upgrade the Navigation screen with kit statistics controls and add a search for an address.
